About Allison

Passionate About . . .

I launched Allison Daisy Chain with a passion to teach skills and crafts that through changes in society are slowly disappearing.

With the ever growing need for technology and a fast paced world we now live in, we all still need the space where we can slow our minds and create a moment to unwind.

Meet Allison, “Allie”

Since 2011

When I am teaching a workshop and the ‘ah-ha!’ moment strikes whilst teaching a brand new skill and they suddenly ‘get it’, watching everything fall into place and the smile on their faces brings me so much joy. It’s what being creative is all about.

The relaxing of their shoulders, the release of tension, and seeing them at ease is my favourite thing.

I also love meeting so many wonderful new faces and building a creative community.

When it all comes together

Creating and designing outside of workshops

I’m fortunate enough to work on my own personal projects and create bespoke pieces for customers alongside teaching. One of my favourite things to create are items for new babies as creating something that will be cherished and may even become an heirloom is always an honour. I love seeing the photographs of their new arrival wrapped in a cosy blanket, holding a soft teddy, or wriggling their tiny toes in a pair of booties. There’s nothing quite like it!

I’m so glad you’re here

I am so grateful to have been able to share my passion over the past 10 years and I can’t wait to continue teaching creative skills and allowing people the time and space to unwind and continue to promote the benefits of mindfulness and taking time to immerse ourselves in a slower pace.

Much of my time outside Workshops is still spent creating. I think that is a huge privilege when your passion can become your work. When I’m not creating, I’m tending to my houseplants and letting my mind wander whilst gardening. Gardening plays a huge part in my life and indeed space in the home! I love the energy plants bring to a space and how it allows me space to be mindful and present.

Where I love to spend my time outside of workshops

ABOUT ALLISON

If you’ve attended one of my workshops before, you will see the abundance of flowers for the bees, veggies for us to enjoy and the peaceful sanctuary we have created in our own back garden. Looking out the windows of the studio your view is framed with greenery and it’s everything I’ve dreamed of. Peacefully creating whilst surrounded by nature, heavenly.

My family are my world and spending time with them having watched them grow, I can enjoy seeing the people they have become which makes me very proud.
